Product Description
Flow Plus Flowable Light Cure Composite is designed for versatile dental restorations, providing excellent flow characteristics and adaptability. This composite is ideal for anterior and posterior restorations, ensuring a seamless blend with natural tooth structure. Its light-cure formulation allows for quick setting times, making it a preferred choice for dental professionals. The product is available for procurement in bulk, catering to the needs of dental clinics and laboratories.
Specification
The composite is available in various shades to match natural teeth and is packaged in 4g syringes for easy application. It is made from high-quality resin materials that ensure durability and aesthetic appeal. The product complies with international dental standards and is suitable for use in both direct and indirect restorations.
- Chemical Formulation: Advanced BIS-GMA polymer resin matrix integrated with a proprietary barium glass filler complex.
- Filler Loading Percentage: 67% filler content by weight, providing an optimal balance between low viscosity and high mechanical durability.
- Filler Particle Size: Nominal particle size of 0.7 microns, facilitating an elite surface polish and superior wear resistance
- Material Rheology: Thixotropic handling (exhibits "flow-on-command" behavior—remains stable and non-slumping until manipulated under instrument pressure, where it flows smoothly into sub-micronic gaps).
- Optical Quality: Designed with engineered light diffusion properties that mirror natural enamel and dentin to eliminate structural shadow lines.
- Radiopacity: High level of radiopacity, permitting swift and highly distinguishable boundaries on post-operative diagnostic radiographs.
Usage
- Direct Restorations: Indicated for minimal-access restorations including Class III, Class IV, and Class V cavity arrangements (including root surface decay and cervical wedge defects).
- Cavity Preparation Management: Serves as a resilient stress-absorbing base or cavity liner underneath highly viscous packable posterior composites.
- Preventative Procedures: Functionally sound as a highly flowable pit and fissure sealant for deep dental anatomy.
- Prosthetic Modification: Indicated for direct chairside repair of structural defects in porcelain restorations or enamel fractures.
- Miscellaneous Applications: Minor core build-ups in zero/low stress zones, block-outs of deep anatomical undercuts, and luting cementation for ultra-thin composite or ceramic veneer laminates.
Clinical Procedures Guidance:
To achieve optimal polymerization, chemical bonding, and marginal sealing, the following procedure can be followed
- Shade Matching: Clean the target tooth surface thoroughly. Evaluate and match tooth coloration using a standard VITA shade guide while the dentition is completely moist.
- Isolation & Preparation: Perform standard conservative cavity preparation. Ensure the operative field is cleanly isolated using a rubber dam or high-efficiency moisture barrier. If deep pulp exposure is present, place a minimal calcium hydroxide protecting liner first.
- Acid Etching: Apply a 37.5% phosphoric acid gel across all enamel and dentin boundaries. Etch for exactly 15 seconds, rinse meticulously with an air-water spray, and lightly air-dry without desiccating the underlying dentin.
- Adhesive Application: Apply a uniform layer of a light-cure dentin/enamel bonding agent Disperse the solvent using a gentle stream of clean, dry air, and light-cure for the manufacturer-stipulated timeframe.
- Composite Dispensing: Attach a fresh application tip to the Flow Plus syringe. Dispense the initial increment directly into the marginal zones and base floors of the cavity prep. Use a brushing/contouring action to allow the composite resin to sweep into internal angles without creating pocket voids.
- Incremental Layering: Build the restoration in increments no thicker than 2.0 mm to mitigate polymerization shrinkage stresses.
- Polymerization: Light-cure each 2.0 mm layer for a minimum of 40 seconds utilizing a standard visible dental light curing unit. Ensure the curing tip is positioned directly over the composite mass.
- Finishing & Polishing: Remove any microscopic excess or flashes using fine-grit diamond burs or flexible abrasive stones. Achieve a high-luster, natural enamel gloss using silicone polishing discs, rubber points, or polishing pastes.
